For the rest of my days I'll be on the hunt for the next best felt tip liner. I thought I had it good with Gorgeous Cosmetics iLine Eyeliner Pen, but we had a fallout due to the liners' wandering ways. After a few hours of wear, the liner had managed to make it's way to my crease and lid.

Not ideal.

The goods…

  • It's a true black
  • Easy to wield
  • The tip draws and flicks with ease

The mehs…

  • Has a tendency to bleed
  • Flaked
  • Smudged

The Bagful breakdown:

Total amount for Gorgeous Cosmetics iLine Eyeliner Pen:

Value for money spent (performance and quality):

  •  6 out of 10 bags – there are far better felt tip liners out there.

The nail files: April

Nails April 2013

Nails April 2013

April was a busy month for us -- thankfully my happy nails got me through another month.

With just one look at them, I can smile, move on and set my sights on my next lemming.

Working clockwise from the upper left corner, Essie's Topless & Barefoot and Licorice tickled my talons. It was an eye-catching duo definitely worth repeating.

Next up we have Butter London's Fiddlesticks, a glittered garnet that lacked staying power. Day four was the beginning of the end for this particular shade.

What Butter London lacks in the glitter department, they certainly make up for in the cream department. Cake-Hole teeters on the bright/neon coral realm -- we added a bit of pizazz by accenting both ring fingers with Fairy Cake.

Last, but not least, is Hello Darling's Wednesday, a yellow based cream pink. It's so charming, you can't limit it to only one day ;)

What colour are you wearing on your nails?

A glimpse at the lips: NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Rikugien

Next time we're in Tokyo together, can we meet up at Rikugien Garden? Let's skirt around the pond, climb the hill and take in the greenery.

Instead of forcing us to use our air miles in order to check out thirteen different parks sprinkled throughout the globe, Francois Nars plucked his favourite trinkets from each one and brought them back home for our enjoyment.

With this newest installment, Nars is aiming for "high-impact intense colour" to last the day without sapping your lips of its moisture. As promised, Rikugien is long-lasting, but I do find that it can dry out my lips, especially during the last few hours of wear. Carry a clear chapstick to combat this potential issue.

While I do love a good lippie in pencil form, I wish this version twisted up in lieu of having to use a sharpener. I'm not too skilled in this particular department and more often than not, I manage to lop off the freshly sharpened tip.

Rikugien is the eye of the cherry blossom. Pull off those petals and have your Ariel moment.

Can you say, addicted?
